Monogrammed Coaster and Stenciled Notebook
Along with Crayola fabric markers, the May Whimseybox held a fabric covered notebook and two cork discs (coasters, maybe) suitable for decorating. I considered a single word proclamation. But what? Happiness? Food? Play? Better yet, plans, we always have those. And for the coasters I went with a monogram using our household initial, “B.”
I think the Lobster font makes a fun, bold summery monogram or stencil base.
I found it when reading this funny font snob series over at The Handmade Home.
So here’s how you stencil: select a font and print on regular paper. Trim out the letters with an x-acto blade, secure the stencil to the notebook and use a crayola fabric marker to trace within. Fill in or embellish with doodles. Set with heat.
